Marcus Damon

(大門 大 Daimon Masaru)

Marcus Damon

His name, Masaru, means Victory in Japanese. He is the first human lead of any Digimon series, excluding C'mon Digimon, that doesn't wear goggles. Marcus is also the first human protagonist to physically hurt Digimon on a regular basis.

Marcus is presented as a fourteen year-old student who loves to fight. He lives with his mother and younger sister Kristy. Marcus meets and fights Agumon in the first episode of the series. When the fight ends in a draw, Agumon agrees to become his partner. Soon afterwards he's recruited as a member of DATS. As Marcus's partner, Agumon idolizes him and refers to him as his "aniki" (a Japanese colloquialism for "older brother," used in this case with the connotation of "boss" as seen in the Yakuza).

Marcus is one of the few humans shown to fight Digimon by himself, though he still counts on Agumon's help to fight the stronger opponents. Even though other humans can evoke their DNA charges by themselves, Marcus must usually connect a punch on an enemy to do so, subsequently using it to digivolve Agumon.

Thomas H. Norstein

(トーマ・H・ノルシュタイン Tohma H. Norstein)

Thomas H. Norstein

Thomas is a 14-year-old boy genius who graduated from the Stockholm Royal University of Science at the age of 13. His abilities are considered elite, even within DATS. He bases his operations on data and theoretical principles, and as such his personality clashes with Marcus's. His mother is Japanese and his father is a prominent Austrian aristocrat named Franz Norstein. Franz and Thomas' mother met while she was an exchange student in Austria, and Thomas lived with his mother in Japan until she died. He was taken back to Austria. He also has a younger half sister, Relena, who suffers from a strange disease. It is never shown who Relena's mother is, but she died of complications during childbirth. While Thomas does not particularly care for his cold father (at least not until after the events of episode 42), he does love his sister very much and does whatever he can to protect her.

Calm and shrewd, he is the exact opposite of Marcus and sees him as a rival. He has an elitist attitude but he gets emotional when thinking of his mother, who died years ago when she was hit by a speeding truck while on their way to a festival when he was young. Thomas's loyal partner is Gaomon, who always addresses him as "sir" and gets angry easily when he thinks someone is not treating Thomas with the proper respect. It has still yet to be revealed how the two actually met.

Yoshino Fujieda

(藤枝 淑乃 Fujieda Yoshino)

Yoshino Fujieda

At eighteen years of age, she is the oldest member of the group, compared to Marcus Damon and Thomas H. Norstein, who are both fourteen years old. Yoshi is independent and sees herself as an older sister figure to her two teammates. Her catchphrase is "This is the worst".

Despite her mature demeanor, she hides a terrible burden from her childhood and because of it, she has difficulty believing in her ability to do anything. When she was younger, Yoshino dealt with a severe inferiority complex which stems from being unable to be as good as her sisters at anything (the most noteworthy incident was a piano recital). As a result, years later, she still secretly worried about being useless to anyone. Lalamon had been aware of her suffering for some time and helped her to overcome it. The problem is revealed as the result of a trend where Yoshi and Lalamon would have problems during battles in the early part of the series.

Her partner is Lalamon, with whom she is quite friendly. Lalamon slowly says her name when she comes out of the Digivice, as "La...la...mon."

When the DATS Digimon had to go back to the Digital World, Yoshi and Lalamon spend their last day at an arcade but Yoshi accidentally destroys a punch game with her DNA charge.

Keenan Crier

(野口 イクト Noguchi Ikuto)

Keenan Crier

How opposed to the other members of DATS, Marcus Damon, Yoshino Fujieda, and Thomas H. Norstein, Keenan did not live in the human world, nor did he originally have a particular liking for it. Though originally born on Earth to the DATS scientists Kevin and Michelle Crier, he was accidentally transported to the Digital World as an infant. In the Digital World, he was raised by a Frigimon. Keenan, like most archetypal wild people, refers to himself with a "me" instead of an "I", despite the fact that the Digimon he grew up with have proper vocabulary. Following her death, he was raised by Merukimon. He believes in defending the peace of the Digital World, and also believed that humans were nothing but a threat to it, possibly due to Kurata's attack. Despite his young age, Keenan has great fighting skill (many of his moves mirror the ninja-like aspects of Falcomon). He wields a boomerang, and wears a cape and a necklace adorned with feathers, and also has facepaint.

When Keenan was transported to the Digital World as an infant, he was protected by Falcomon and a Frigimon. He was sickly as a young boy; at one point Frigimon went to find medicine left behind by humans that had been in the Digital World. But after nursing him back to health, the evil scientist Kurata came to the Digital World to try and annihilate the Digimon in an act of genocide. Though Kurata was eventually defeated, he was able to destroy many Digimon, amongst them was Keenan's Frigimon mother, who was destroyed before his very eyes while trying to protect him. This event is crucial to Keenan's hatred of humanity, as he came to believe that all humans were evil and became dedicated to defending the Digital World from them.

Taichi "Tai" Kamiya

(八神 太一 Yagami Taichi)

Taichi

Taichi is a character from the first two seasons of the anime and manga Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02.

He is characterized as a happy-go-lucky, adventurous, but naive character who wears a set of goggles, a characteristic that would eventually become shared among the leaders of the various DigiDestined in Digimon. As a brash person, he often acts on impulse without realizing the consequences of his actions. This leads him to moments of friction and guilt between his best friend and rival Matt, his oldest friend Sora Takenouchi, as well as his Digimon partner Agumon. As a true leader, however, he manages to do whatever is necessary to rectify the situation, and in times of need, save friends and family from certain doom. He is the bearer of the Crest of Courage.

Takeru "T.K." Takaishi

(高石 タケル Takaishi Takeru)

Takeru

Takeru is a character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. He is the younger brother of Yamato "Matt" Ishida. He is partnered with Patamon, and embodies the trait of Hope.

Four years before Digimon Adventure, T.K. lived with his parents and brother at Highton View Terrace, where he and his brother witnessed the battle between Greymon and Parrotmon. This event caused the two to be chosen to be among the new DigiDestined.

Sometime later, his parents divorced for unknown reasons. Matt was given the decision of who each child should live with, and while he was unwilling to abandon his father, he sent T.K. to live with their mother. Original Story: 2½ Year Break T.K. was too young to remember his parents' divorce clearly, and so was not as affected by it as much as Matt, and remained quite cheerful throughout the series. Though he doesn't mind living with his mother, T.K. is still happy when he gets to visit his father.

Yamato "Matt" Ishida

(石田 ヤマト Ishida Yamato)

Matt

Matt is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Matt and T.K.'s given names, Yamato and Takeru, are a reference to Yamato Takeru, a figure in Japanese legend.

Matt, one of the original DigiDestined, starts out as a secretive loner whose Digimon partner is Gabumon. His younger brother, Takeru "T.K." Takaishi, is also one of the eight DigiDestined, but their parents are divorced and so they cannot spend much time together.[1] He is very protective of T.K., and often acts harshly when T.K. is in trouble. Matt is the bearer of the Crest of Friendship.

Matt was given away by staff members during “Surprise summoning Event” at 15:00 JST August 08 2013 ~ 00:00 JST August 09, 2013 in gDMO.
