The Incubator is used to hatch Mercenary Digimon eggs. A Digi-Egg is inserted, followed by the corresponding DATA. There are five levels an egg can reach, but the minimum required is three (3/5). A regular Digi-egg has a chance of breaking and the DATA being lost for every level, minus special Reinforced eggs, but only to the level stated in the egg's item page (3/5, 4/5, etc).

Certain items, such as Hatch Backups can be used to recover the egg if an insertion fails.
